Downtown Living Advocates Streetscape Committee Invites YOU!
Downtown Neighborhood Walking Tour 6:00-7:30pm, Thursday September 23, 2010
"Please join the Downtown Living Advocates for a Historic Preservation & Streetscape walking tour of the East Raleigh Downtown Neighborhood, just south of Moore Square. Residents from the neighborhood and all DLA members will be invited to participate.
The route of approximately one mile will highlight streetscape and historic preservation design issues and opportunities related to the proposed City of Raleigh Development Code revisions, past or current proposed redevelopments, and a general history of the area. The Tour will be facilitated by DLA members Anne Fahim, Cultural Resources Architect and Urban Designer, and Kimberly Siran, RLA, Land Planner.
The Tour will depart at 6:00 pm from 101 Lounge + Cafe, 444 S. Blount Street, at the southwest corner of Davie & Blount Streets. Please plan to join us after the Tour for a review and some social time at El Rodeo, 329 S. Blount Street. A pencil, paper, and a digital camera (optional) will be useful items to record observations along the route. Please wear your walking shoes!
Please RSVP by September 22 to admin@RaleighDLA.com."
